Volunteer Opportunities

Our reading program, Partners Achieving Literacy (PAL), needs volunteers to work as escorts for the children in the program. Escorts volunteer three times per month during the fall and spring semesters. It is highly rewarding to be part of a team that helps a struggling reader gain the skills to read a book with confidence and fluidity.

Like to party? Maybe you could help us with our fund/friend raisers! We need volunteers to help organize and set up our fund raisers.

What better pay could there be than a puppy who happily sits for you to pet? We need “friendly strangers” to meet our puppies in our puppy socialization class. It happens six times a year and only takes an hour each time. This is a great opportunity to bring your children so they can learn how to safely pet a puppy.

We have wonderful graphic artists who help us. Need to get those creative juices going? We often have specific needs on a quick turn around.

Our Celebration Garden has started and needs tender, loving care along with the rest of the grounds. We’ll need gardeners soon! It’s a great way to be outdoors, meet new friends and accomplish a much needed task.
